16th ISO 2009 Brasilia (Brazil)

The 16th International Symposium on Ostracoda has been be organized in Brasilia, Brazil, by Dermeval DoCarmo and his team in 2009. A total of 107 registrations were received from 25 countries. Participants contributed with 49 oral communications and 52 poster presentations, along with four keynote lectures given by invited speakers. Finally, a proceedings volume was published in 'Hydrobiologia' as the special volume "Ostracoda - Biostratigraphy and Applied Ecology", edited by Dermeval A. do Carmo, Ricado Pinto and Koen Martens.
