European Ostracodologists‘ Meetings

The first European Ostracodologists‘ Meeting was hosted by the German colleague Heinz Malz from Senckenberg Institution in Frankfurt (Main) in 1990. EOM 2, organized by Michael Keen from Glasgow (Scottland) in 1993, showed that a new, periodical ostracodologists‘ conference had been created, which meanwhile proved a very successful one.

When the ostracodologists‘ community decided to organize the ISO conferences every four years, it was obvious to let EOM happen right in the middle between two ISO conferences. Thus, ostracod researchers nowadays find an international platform for exchange every other year. And in between, there are regional meetings …
